spam + anti-virus scanning
Written by jlgaddis on October 27, 2004 – 6:32 pm -I have just once again implemented spam and anti-virus scanning on my Debian GNU/Linux e-mail server. It’s running a combination of Postfix, AMaViS, ClamAV, and SpamAssassin.[1]
I highly recommend Tobias Rice’s excellent article “How To Install Postfix, Amavis, ClamAV, and Spamassassin on Debian Linux”. I didn’t follow it to a tee due to not wanting/needing various parts of it (e.g. SSL/TLS for POP3/IMAP) and it appears to be working beautifully. I intend to add some statistics and pretty graphs fairly soon.
[1] This is the same set up I was running before, but it was necessary to reimplement it due to moving the server to a new box.
