For the first time ever, I beat a ticket! About a month ago, I got pulled over in Bloomington for allegedly “disregarding an automatic signal”, a.k.a. running a red light. I spaced the ticket until last night when I happened to be digging through my desk for something and came across it. It was supposed to be paid by 1pm today. After a meeting that got out at about 12:15pm, I cut out and headed across town to the Justice Building to pay it, but they couldn’t find it! They had no record of it and said that evidentally the officer never turned it in. They entered it into the computer as “dismissed” and gave me a paper stating (in writing) that it was dismissed. I didn’t mind that at all, since it saved me probably $100 or so.

That’s it, nothing exciting about it, just thought it was great since that’s a first for me!
