a miracle happened and we found a new place to live! at the end of last june, i moved from mitchell to bloomington and signed a lease for the place i’m at now, “canterbury house apartments”. it’s a nice little expensive place, but we’re ready to get outta here. my lease is up on the 31st of this month so we’ve been looking for a house. being a college town, everything is insanely expensive anyways, but i think we managed to find a place that we’ll both be at least somewhat satisfied with.

yesterday, lindsey was going to meet this woman to see a house and called me at work to see if i could meet her there at 5.30pm. we got there at the same time and looked at a few of the properties that this woman and man had all on the same block. after we were done i asked lindsey if she liked any of them enough to move in and she said that she liked the second one. after talking amongst ourselves for a minute, we decided we’d move in. we filled out the paperwork right then and i brought a check back maybe 45 minutes later to get the place. we’re going to start moving stuff in on may 29th, so that should give us enough time to get outta this apartment.

the new place is a house, not an apartment, has two bedrooms (i need one for a home office) and has a fenced in yard (a requirement for the two dogs). it’s not a rundown shack but it’s not the nicest place i’ve ever seen either. anyways, i think we’ll both like it better than we do here. i sure the hell hope so, as i just signed my name to a paper saying i’d live there for the next 14 months. =)
