nfl conference championship predictions

Written by jlgaddis on January 20, 2008 – 3:01 pm -

well, i knew it wouldn’t happen so it wasn’t surprising, but it would’ve been cool.

regardless, i thought i’d post my predictions for the nfl conference championship games today.

the first game is the san diego chargers versus the new england patriots. the patriots are gonna win this, though i don’t think it’ll be by much.

game two will be the new york giants taking on the green bay packers. the packers are gonna take this one.

if i’m right about those two games, then we’ll see the patriots and the packers in the super bowl. i’d like to see the packers — or anyone, for that matter — stomp the shit out of ‘em but, unfortunately, i don’t think it’ll happen.

first prediction was correct. the patriots just defeated the chargers, 21-12.

i’m happy to say i was wrong on the second prediction. while i’ve been rooting for the giants, i didn’t really expect them to win. they just pulled off a 23-20 victory in overtime and will face the patriots in the super bowl on february 3rd! (the patriots will smash them, by the way.) =)
