mccain and giuliani in 2008?

since the close of the florida primary, cnn, msnbc, and faux news have all been reporting that my dream of rudy giuliani dropping out will come true. gop sources are saying that giuliani will officially drop out tomorrow — and also endorse senator mccain.
i’m starting to wonder if mccain — assuming he were to win the nomination — might just choose giuliani as his running mate for the general election. i haven’t heard anyone else say anything like this, but i could see it happening.
i’ve talked to a number of people who say that giuliani would be their second choice (after mccain). it’s widely known that mccain and giuliani have a good relationship going back years. they also share a number of the same views on some highly important topics. it’s not out of the question.
will it happen? we’ll have to wait and see, obviously, but i think there’s definitely a chance.
note: it doesn’t matter a whole lot to me. i’m a democrat. =)

by the way, i’m not saying it’s a good idea for mccain to do this — personally, i wouldn’t recommend it — but i do think it’s a real possibility.
