in Certification

I’ve been playing around with Dynamips the last three or four days as a “refresher” for some things I don’t use often (e.g. RIP) and scheduled the Cisco 640-822 exam last night. I got up late (go figure) due to not changing the time on my alarm clock Sunday but still managed to get there and take the test.

I passed it (922 out of 1000) and am now a “Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician” (CCENT). I’ll probably wait a few weeks and then go take the 640-816 exam to complete the CCNA. I just found out that there’s a 180-day waiting period if you don’t pass, however, so I want to make sure I’m adequately prepared!

UPDATE: I passed the 640-816 exam, earning the CCNA certification, a week later.
