Gestalt IT’s Tech Field Day 7 event, with a focus on datacenter infrastructure, is now less than a month away.

This unique event brings together innovative IT product vendors and independent thought leaders, allowing them to get to know one another. It is a forum for engagement, education, hands-on experience, and feedback.

TFD7 will be split up into two-hour slots for a total of eight presenters over the course of the two-day event. The presenters have not yet been announced.

While the deadline to be a sponsor has now passed, the delegate selection process is in full swing. As a Tech Field Day “alumni”, I get the honor of participating in the process of deciding who will be punished selected as delegates.

Four delegates have already been selected:

As mentioned Friday, the process of selecting the remaining delegates is under way. I spent several hours Saturday evening reviewing the other potential delegates before I cast my votes. There are some great names on the list and, regardless of who is the final line-up consists of, it’s going to be an awesome event.

Several other upcoming Tech Field Day events are planned, including Net Field 2. I had the privilege of attending the first Net Field Day event last fall and I look forward to returning to San Jose in October for the second. I’ll be joining Brandon Carroll, Ivan Pepelnjak, Tom Hollingsworth and several others, yet-to-be-chosen. If this event is half as excellent as the first one was, it will be worth it.

REMINDER: If you’re interested in being considered as a delegate for future Tech Field Day events, see the “Become a Field Day Delegate” page and complete the form.
